Mica sheets, Stove mica, isinglass is used in viewing windows for wood burning stoves and many other solid fuel burning stoves and fireplaces. Sheets may very from .003 to .005" thick. The bright light spots in some photos are do to light reflecting on the mica sheet and not a part of the mica. Mica quality may very and no two pieces are the same.
